TOPIC: Magnum inverter beeping

Magnum inverter beeping 5 days 3 hours ago #1

We have a Magnum inverter in our 2014 38RL. It has started beeping. We have recently replaced the batteries, so it isn't from low battery. Any ideas?

Now it is saying "AC overload". Now we have beeping and blinking. We have gone through all the steps shown in the manual for the blinking lights. It would not reset.

I'm not an electricity expert, but here is what I would do:
1) I assume you have some kind of surge protector or power protection. Check to see if everything looks normal there
2) disconnect from your AC power and check the voltage at the pole. If the voltage is normal you might try plugging directly into the pole and bypassing your protection. I have seen bad surge guards do all kinds of weird things.
3) see how the rig responds running on 12v with the inverter. See if you can get some kind of "normal" operation.
4) I if all that seems normal I'd call a mobile tech and be really careful until they got there.

Wouldn’t electrical overload mean there was too much load on the inverter? I think I would shut off thr refrigerator and see if the alarm stops. You may have a short in the wiring.
